Burial at Sea in Rhode Island
The Ocean State earns its name — Narragansett Bay reaches into its heart, and Newport’s sailing waters are famous the world over. A Rhode Island farewell passes lighthouses and mansions on its way to the open Atlantic.
Sea Services has arranged burials at sea and ash scatterings in Rhode Island since 1991. Every service is performed by U.S. Coast Guard–licensed captains in full compliance with EPA regulations, a minimum of three nautical miles from shore, aboard Coast Guard–approved vessels.
